'Hills End' is a small seaside town situated on a peninsular jutting out into the English Channel. It is here that the chalk downs abruptly end. Situated high above the town is the light house which is open to the public for tours and can be accessed via the little narrow gauge railway running from the terminus at the end of the promenade.

This model is 009 gauge, 4mm scale. The loco is an etched brass kit made up and fitted onto a Kato 4 wheel tram chassis and the carriages are plastic kits. All these kits were bought from Parkside Dundas. Trackwork and turnouts are Peco 009.

Dioramas. This year, after a break, we had a diorama competition. The rules were kept intentionally simple, maximum size of the diorama was 2ft by 1 ft and it had to have a piece of track on it. That's it. We had six entries this year. First was Robert Ettridge, second was Daniel Goodwin and third was Nigel Murphy.
